Sleep Away Camps
Looking for a great way for your kids to spend a week this summer? You've found it!
Camp Valaqua runs classic sleepaway camp programs for campers ages 7-17. Campers sing songs and listen to stories by the campfire, live and play in the forest, and grow in faith, self confidence, and in relationship to one another.

FAMILY CAMP (ALL AGES) - June 28-30 & august 2-4 $300/family
A weekend for families to escape together. Lots of great activities and events keep the weekend fun for all ages! Families stay in one of our great cabins or bring a camper. This is intended to be a chance for families to spend time together and meet other great folks from across Alberta. Programming is available for children from 2 years and up, but families of all ages are invited.
DISCOVERY (AGES 8-10) - August 5-9 $450
A camp aimed at first time campers. Discovery camp introduces campers to Valaqua with a special focus on making things comfortable for those new to the program. Discovery Campers attend daily chapels and campfires, play games and take part in a list of classic camp activities including swimming in our beautiful river, rock climbing, archery, crafts, campskills (fire building and shelter building), and nature lessons.
DISCOVERY DAYS (AGES 7-10) - August 6-9 $325
Discover Valaqua and get home for bedtime! Discovery Days features all the same great activities as Discovery camp on a 9:30-4:30 schedule, a great way to experience a week at camp for those new to sleep-away camping.
ADVENTURER (AGES 8-12) - July 21-26 (ADV1) or August 18-23 (ADV 2) $475
Adventurer accepts a wider age range then our Discovery and Explorer camps, making it perfect for siblings who want to come to camp the same week. Campers will take part in age appropriate activities while staying in cabins with others their own age.
EXPLORER (AGES 10-12) - July 14-19 (expl 1) or August 11-16 (expl 2) $475
Campers have the opportunity to try new activities and games (kayaking, survival) and to go on an overnighter on the beautiful Valaqua property.
BREAKAWAY (AGES 13-17) - July 7-12 $475
Our classic teen camp offers a broader range of activities and focuses in a familiar camp format. Campers customize their schedules each day, allowing them to follow activities in which they have interest. Campers also spend a day hiking in the incredible Alberta Rockies!
